In other word a great deal of money for something that won't let me install the programs that I need to use the most (note: non-MSI program installers work fine).Īnybody's help would be greatly appreciated. My system is a home-built system using an Intel Core2 Quad CPU NVidia 780i Mobo, NVidia dual 8800 SLI'd video cards, 4gb RAM (not SLI'd), 1TB C: Drive with Vista Ultimate sp2 and two 500gb drives in a RAID 0 configuration (for back-up), all in a NVidiaįull tower Case with a Thermatake Bigwater 380i water cooling system. I'm strongly beginning to believe it's a problem with the MSI program itself but I haven't found anything online yet that addresses these I'm hoping that an MS Software Engineer will see this post and give me an idea of what's occurring and how to fix it. (no help), multiple registry cleaners (no help), Safe Mode install but can't do it because MSI must be installed, installing with all startups and services other than MS items through msconfig disabled (no help), uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried MSI cleanup utility (no help), uninstalling C++ 2005 & 2008 redistributable and reinstalling Tech support from Acronis gave me a new link to re-download the update - no help. I've searched through MS, Xara, and Acronis' knowledgebases without success. I can provide a verbose report for the Xara problem but I don't want to post pages of mostly useless information. Then each of the program installers rollback the items installed leaving me with the original program in place and functioning. Please refer to Help and Support for more information.
